Does your horse go better one direction than another?

Do they seem “dead” to one leg over the other?

Do they have a drift when they jump?

Is one lead difficult to get?

Do you find lateral work difficult?

Is your horse very lazy or very high-strung?

Does your horse “hate” dressage?

Do you have connection problems?

Does your horse act out?

If any of these things ring true, you could benefit from riding with me. Biomechanics is the science behind riding. It is how the horse’s body is affected by the rider’s body when being ridden. At the end of the day, riding is science.

I have helped a lot of different issues by fixing the rider. I believe that my gift is seeing people’s body twists, usually starting in the pelvis, and teaching people how to fix them. The better I can get a rider’s body, the better their horse will go. They become a part of the horse not just a load to carry.

"The way I teach is very biomechanics-based, more like they teach in Europe. Using your body to influence the horse correctly. Thus, your body has to be straight to begin with, and very few sit on a horse straight. We just think we do. It’s a lot of muscle memory changes, so the riders work a lot harder than the horses for a while. I teach all levels, as long as you can walk and trot on your own. If anyone has questions about the lessons themselves, I am happy to do my best to answer them."
